10 football classes for kids in Belgrade: schools and academies

If you are looking for football for kids in Belgrade — or “soccer classes” as many international families search for it — there is a wide range of options. Some are small local football schools designed for a child's first experience with the ball, while others provide a route into professional club academies.

For younger children, the best-known club is not necessarily the best starting point. Age-appropriate groups, a supportive coach, location and whether your child actually enjoys going back each week usually matter more.

1. Škola fudbala Dušanovac

Age: 5–13
Area: several locations around Zvezdara, Olimp and Mirijevo
Format: age-based football school

Dušanovac divides children into 5–7, 7–9, 9–11 and 11–13 groups. Younger players focus on their first contact with the ball, coordination and learning through games, while older groups gradually add more technique, teamwork and tactical understanding.

2. DFK Dorćol

Age: 5–11
Area: Dorćol
Format: training, children's leagues and tournaments

A particularly practical option for families living in central Belgrade. DFK Dorćol combines basic football skills with teamwork and competition, with training on artificial turf and an indoor facility used during winter.

3. Škola fudbala TC United

Age: 5–12
Area: New Belgrade
Groups: 5–6, 7–8, 9–10 and 11–12

TC United has a simple age-based structure, so children train with peers at a similar developmental stage. Sessions take place both outdoors and in an indoor football dome, and the school also organises camps and seasonal training programs.

4. Škola fudbala El Maestro

Age: 5–13

El Maestro combines football technique with an emphasis on play, social development and individual attention. It works with girls and boys aged 5–13, offers indoor training and participates in children's tournaments.

5. Sportski baloni Top Spin

Age: 4–14
Format: football school inside a larger sports centre

Top Spin is useful to know about if you are searching for kids sports in Belgrade rather than a professional academy specifically. Its football school accepts children aged 4–14, and the wider sports centre provides an indoor pitch, changing facilities and a café area for parents.

6. FC Atacante

Age: approximately 4–14
Locations: several training locations in Belgrade
Format: children's football academy, regular training and competitions

FC Atacante is a good option for children who want to go beyond a casual weekly football class. The academy works with younger age groups, focuses on technical development and match experience, and regularly competes in domestic and international youth tournaments. Its U9 team represented Belgrade at the 2025 Umag Trophy.

7. FK IMT Football School

Age: from around 4
Area: New Belgrade
Format: professional club football school

IMT's beginner program uses games, movement courses and basic ball technique without putting young children under pressure to perform. For the 2026/27 season, the school lists children born from 2016 to 2022 and currently trains three times per week.

8. OFK Beograd Youth Academy

Area: Karaburma
Format: club academy with multiple youth age groups

OFK Beograd's youth system currently includes around 300 young players across ten selections. It is worth considering for families looking beyond a casual after-school activity in Belgrade toward a structured club environment and longer-term football development.

9. FK Partizan Youth Academy and “Partizanove bebe”

Location: Partizan-Teleoptik training centre, Zemun
Format: professional academy + entry-level school for younger children

Partizan's older academy teams are selected through the club's scouting system, so they are different from a typical neighbourhood football class. For younger players, however, the club runs Partizanove bebe, which Partizan says is open to new members throughout the year.

10. FK Crvena zvezda Youth Academy

Area: Rajko Mitić Stadium / Dedinje
Format: professional academy, camps and talent development

Crvena zvezda is better viewed as an academy pathway than a regular neighbourhood football class. One accessible way for children to experience its training environment is through the club's football camps: the 2026 Belgrade camp welcomed girls and boys aged 8–16 and was led by coaches from the club's youth academy.

How to choose football classes for your child

For a four-, five- or six-year-old, look first at the coach, the atmosphere, group size and travel time. At this age, football should help children enjoy movement, learn to work with a ball and discover what being part of a team feels like.

With older children, you can start comparing competitions, progression to older teams and the pathway offered by each club. The right football academy or soccer class in Belgrade depends on what your family actually needs: a fun weekly activity, regular sport and friends, or a more competitive football environment.
